Are all doctors willing to accept Medicare?

No, not all doctors accept Medicare. While the majority of doctors in the United States do accept Medicare, some doctors may choose not to participate in the Medicare program. In some cases, this may be because they do not want to comply with the regulations and paperwork requirements associated with Medicare, or because they do not want to accept the lower reimbursement rates that Medicare offers.

If you are enrolled in Original Medicare, you can see any doctor who accepts Medicare, but you may have to pay more if the doctor is not a participating provider. If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, you may be limited to a network of participating providers.
