What is Get Covered NJ

​Who is Eligible

To be eligible to enroll in a health insurance plan through Get Covered NJ, an individual must be a resident of the state of New Jersey and must not be eligible for other forms of health insurance coverage, such as through an employer or government program like Medicare or Medicaid. Additionally, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, or permanent resident or a legal immigrant for a status for at least 5 years. Along with this, individuals must meet certain income and household size requirements to qualify for financial assistance to help pay for their health insurance premiums. To determine your eligibility for Get Covered NJ and to enroll in a health insurance plan, you will need to provide some personal and financial information. This may include your social security number, income, and employment status. You will also need to provide information about any current health insurance coverage you have and any healthcare needs you have.
